First Day

Okay so I set my alarm to get up and do perhaps a little yoga, maybe some stretching to get started this morning.  The alarm went off at 4:30am and I opened one eye and then shut it and back to sleep I went. I think this has more to do with me hating my job at the momet and not wanting to get up and go to work.  I told myself that I would do better to work out after work.
Which brings me to the question of what type of approach I am going to take to lose the flab.  I've read books, I've tried to excerise everyday and I've even tried the not so healthy diet pill.  I'm thinking that perhaps Weight Watchers is a way to go.  I mean look at Jennifer Hudson.  She's done great.  I've thrown Jenny Craig up in the air.   But I think she will be out as I do not want to have to buy that food.  A gym membership is ideal but I need one close to my house( perhaps on my way home from work) and I need a cheap membership.  I don't want to have to sign a contract.  So this week I'm on the look out for the best way to help me stick to my new life direction. 
After work today I plan to go through my kitchen and get rid of any temptations.  Out with the enriched pasta, out with the yummy potato chips, See ya later sweet stuff.  We will meet again sometime in the future. I'll post a picture of all the "bad" foods I've pulled from the pantry and fridge.  Then I'll go shopping for some healthier options.

Now I don't want to be one of those people who you hang out with and say "Oh I can't eat that, or none of that for me"  I want to be able to eat food that I like.  And let's face it if you know me you know that I have a long list of foods I don't like and won't eat.  For the sake of healthy eating and living I am going to try something once a week that I don't like.  (Heaven help me).  Later this week I will post a list of foods I don't like and if you, my followers could suggest a great healthy way to try some of those foods from that list I will try to add them to my menu for next week.  However I will never eat string beans. So please don't suggest any recipe with those in it.  Beans in general will most likely not get tried.

My excerise for today will most likely be an hour of The Michael Jackson Dance Experience.  Trust me it's a work out.  And I will throw in a walk around the neighborhood.  maybe.  I need to get my sisters bike fixed so I can ride it for excerise.

  2. I have to say putting myself out there is pretty scary but it's also kind of freeing. I think it's the motivation I need to get it together! Thanks for following! If I'm not inspiring then at least I'll make you laugh! :)
